About the Athletic Joint

The Athletic Joint was created in response to a healthcare system failing to care for the people it serves. After 10 years of operating and treating in multiple outpatient physical therapy clinics, Dr. Hooman realized our community deserves better. His intention is to be your healthcare advocate by navigating you through the entire rehabilitation process. In 2025, he took the leap to start Athletic Joint in order to provide the care people deserve in the conservative care space.

The Athletic Joint is dedicated to helping you move for a lifetime. Whether you're an older adult wanting to play on the floor with your grandchildren or an Ironman competitor aiming for peak performance, we believe everyone is an athlete when the goal is to move.

Hooman Nourparvar, PT, DPT

Hooman Nourparvar is a dedicated doctor of physical therapy with a passion for movement medicine. His journey began at the University of Georgia, where he graduated with honors and earned his Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sport Science. He then pursued his Doctor of Physical Therapy at Augusta University, where he also served as class president.

After completing his education, Dr. Hooman began sharpening his axe by joining a sports medicine clinic in Athens, GA, working with athletes of all levels. He further honed his skills by spending time each week, treating inside of a local CrossFit gym. In addition, he also served as an AthHalf pacer and led half marathon training groups. After five years, he returned to the Metro Atlanta area, where he worked in an outpatient physical therapy clinic.

Dr. Hooman currently resides in Roswell, GA with his amazing wife and two wild and crazy boys.

  • Always a 1-on-1 experience with your Doctor of PT. With insurance reimbursement cuts a non-factor, we aren’t squeezed for volume.

  • The possibility of reimbursement from your insurance company for OON benefits (superbill upon request)
